Assault one was against the castle's left flank. A man went down at the center most bunker across the road from the castle so I took off for the spot. I caught about three shots on my run in and figured I was out. I slid in on my back so the ref there could quickly see if I'd been hit because if not, I needed to get to cover! I wasn't out, so I crawled up to the bunker and attacked the walls for several minutes until an assault group gathered. I laid down some cover fire while they ran in and after a few minutes, I followed them in. They were lined up along the wall of the right flank so I helped lay a stream of paint into the doorway to keep anyone inside back. I lobbed a grenade into the crack of the door that I could see, where it caught a barrel and ricocheted (sp?) in! I ran up, sprayed the doorway and took position next to a stack of barrels to cover the area while everyone else ran in. Unfortunately no one followed and I got lit up from about four different positions around the castle so that ended that run.

Assault two was against the castle's left flank. I climbed around the far left side of the castle and found a good rock to take position behind to watch the doorway, the rear entryways and some of the interior of the wall. At a break in the rain of paint I made my way to the doorway and followed another guy in to try to take out the left doorway while he went right. There were too many people in the courtyard to really take any action before being hit but it got me thinking...

Six people could have taken that doorway. Two shields run in (and if they miraculously survive, peel off left and right to lay cover fire into the courtyard or the tunnels), followed by two guys that peel off and lay heavy fire into their tunnels' respective doorways, followed by two more guys that, while still being covered by the front two (even if they are turning around to leave at this point) peel off and throw grenades. Once the second gun is hit, the third moves in and a chain starts with those being hit shielding those running in. Not to mention that one of the gates had windows so grenades could have been lobbed in on that side first. At least I learned something.

The other runs weren't as exciting as those but I did get to play a tall grass field, night games in the castle, some attack and defend in Tippmann Town and a few speedball games against some other guys from Ct that we met, in addition to the Conquest. No action shots, but here are a few pics...
